As the Children take to the streets and enjoy the Snow, London comes to a stand still.

After a week of AMBER ALERTS and various snow warnings, you would think everyone was more than prepared for the eventuality that it was in fact going to snow, however as you would have seen from the news reports around the country, chaos ensued.

Wishing everyone a great 2012 from all of us here at Belmont Circle .CO. UK

We hope for all your well being, success, prosperity and good health in the coming times through this new year.
We anticipate good times ahead and wish that your dreams and aspiration all come through.

Now is the time to act, open up this new years eve and tell every person you come across, even if it is a stranger, to spread love, affection and warmth around them.

Make this new year special by plating a tree, feeding hungry people, adopting a lonesome street dog, helping the homeless by giving some warm clothes, take a vow to never bribe or accept any bribe to get your work done, make it even more special by telling your beloved that your love for him/her will be like wine, it will get more refined and more precious with time.

And when you are done, welcome the early sun of the new year with open arms and full vigor. So, buckle up 2012, HERE WE COME!!!.

A few New Year Quotations

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. ~Einstein

Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each new year find you a better man.  ~Benjamin Franklin

The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot. ~Michael Altshuler

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.  ~Oprah Winfrey

For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.
~T.S. Eliot, “Little Gidding”

We will open the book.  Its pages are blank.  We are going to put words on them ourselves.  The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.  ~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New Year and Christmas.  ~Author Unknown

One resolution I have made, and try always to keep, is this:  To rise above the little things.  ~John Burroughs

A happy New Year! Grant that I
May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I’ve played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.~Edgar Guest

We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched.  Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives… not looking for flaws, but for potential.  ~Ellen Goodman

Sleeping Rough on the streets of London

On Thursday the 10th November 2011 I slept rough on the streets of London in Exchange Square, Broadgate, right behind Liverpool St Station on the cold concrete floor, with cardboard boxes flattened out as a ground mat and under an archway to protect me from the wind and rain.

Why was I sleeping rough there? I have a home, I have a family, I have a car, I can afford a taxi and I have friends I could call on to pick me up;

Happy 11.11.11 11.11.11

To all of our local community, thank you for your support and may we wish you a very special day today. Use it as a time to reflect and think about how we can all make a difference in our community.

At 11.11.11 on 11.11.11, the time and date will be a perfect same-numbered palindrome, reading the same backwards as forwards, an event which can only happen on one day every 100 years.
